HOW CAN LIPOSUCTION IMPROVE MY APPEARANCE?

Weight changes, pregnancy, or even the aging process can cause fatty deposits to accumulate in problem areas of the neck and body, such as “love handles,” a double chin, or bulges in the abdomen, back, or thighs. Liposuction eliminates this fatty tissue safely and permanently (with maintenance of stable weight), creating a smooth and defined contour.

OUR SIGNATURE LIPOSUCTION + RENUVION®  PROCEDURE

Liposuction is performed with anesthesia, the type depends on the area of the body and the amount of fatty tissue to be removed. Liposuction techniques can vary slightly, but the procedure uses suctioning to extract excess fatty tissue from target areas via a small incision using a fine tube called a cannula.

Liposuction may be used to treat one or more areas and may be combined with other procedures for optimal results. LIPOSUCTION RECOVERY

Liposuction recovery may include minor discomfort, such as swelling and soreness, in the first few days following treatment, but these symptoms subside very quickly. Our staff will be on hand to guide you through pre- and postoperative instructions and care, along with detailed information to help keep you comfortable throughout the recovery period. You will be advised to wear a customized compression garment during recovery for six weeks to reduce swelling and support and tighten healing tissue.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED LIPOSUCTION OR A TUMMY TUCK?

A tummy tuck is ideal for patients who have a significant amount of extra skin on the lower abdomen (below the belly button) or have laxity in the abdominal wall musculature after pregnancy. Liposuction is best suited for patients who maintain a healthy, stable weight to remove bulges of fatty tissue from specific target areas. While a tummy tuck surgically tightens underlying abdominal muscles and trims away large areas of extra skin, creating a dramatically slimmer silhouette, liposuction extracts pockets of fatty tissue through a tiny incision. Scarring after liposuction is minimal, while a tummy tuck leaves a hairline scar across the lower abdomen, typically from hip to hip.
